There has been a change in the bumble bees at Northwood recently. Some kind of fungi has been deforming their abdomens. Similar to the post on October 1st. There are bunch of bumble bees down there missing their stripes.
UPDATE: This is a fall species of bee: Bombus impatiens - "impatiens are among the last bumblebees to die out in the fall. Many of the other species are already finished from the year." from my friends at bugguide.net
