Calm before a storm?

There were many squirrels scurrying about this morning.  Leaves are dry and crunchy.  The sky was overcast with no wind.  Their movement was very noticeable in the stillness.  

Geese are still here, as are ducks.  A fly was taking cover within a milkweed pod.  Otherwise, the day seemed very very quiet.  There is a snow storm warning for tomorrow and the prediction is six inches of snow.  Perhaps this is the calm before the storm?
