Waiting for the Lake to Thaw

Most of the winter pictures have been from the nature walk side of the park.  No paths were kept up on the lake side, but now the thaw has made the path visible.  The lake itself has several inches of ice still, but not solid ice - more slush than solid. The shore lines are melted some and show how thick the ice is.

This duck found some parts don't exactly hold his weight.

The ducks and geese can hardly wait for lake to thaw and are lining the shore already.
