Lake Ice

I didn't get out today until nearly sunset.  It felt colder than usual, though actual temperatures hovered just below freezing.  Near the lake outlet, there is still a trickle of water draining from the lake.  The ice is advancing and it shouldn't be too long before even that is iced over.  Generally speaking, ice along the shore is thick. Some young people took advantage of ice with no snow cover and got in a little hockey practice.

Best to be cautious on the ice.
