Thursday Happenings

Although much of the park has received its 'summer cut', the marsh road has not been touched yet.  There is still time to catch the Virginia Waterleaf.  Northwood has their own Wild Geranium now as well.  They can be seen on the forested hillsides.  The taller purple flowers are Dame's Rocket.

Golden Alexanders are also in bloom along the creek edges.

New Wave Of Spring ... Purple

In the forest and lining the marsh road, a couple of spring purple flowers are starting.  Above is a Dames Rockets.  To the side is a Wild Geranium.

Three New Wildflowers

Three new wildflowers can be found at the park this week:  Dames Rockets (pictured above), Philadelphia Fleabane (pictured to the side) and False Solomon's Seal (picture below).  So nice to see the flowers starting to pop!
