Nature's White Backdrop

For all of the snow and cold and seeming sameness, there are some photo advantages with winter.  In particular an opportunity to take pictures that bring out details and textures.   Textures that would be lost in a sea of similar colors at other times of the year.  The snow makes a nice nature-provided white backdrop.

I love the wispy detail of the dried flowers of this one.

 This one reminds me of wasp or bee cone like patterns.

 The fibrous attributes of this one are unusual.
