Yep, there was snow overnight. We woke up to a light accumulation of snow in the morning. By late morning, most of the snow was melted, but a few flakes still fell here and there. My time at the park was overcast, cold and windy, yet there were bits of yellow to be found.
This is an American Goldfinch. No wonder he is bright, Goldfinches molt late winter. He looks cold, all puffed up to warm himself!
He wasn't the only yellow found.
What bird is this? A Yellow-rumped Warbler. I saw at least two of them. This bird does not usually stick around this area and is probably migrating through to the north shore. Okay .. so where is the yellow rump?
There it is!
Hope you enjoyed!
