Thunderstorms this morning made everything turn more green. Tree's now have that green haze that will soon be solid. The oak tree near the path began to open.
This was a significant change from my last trip to the park. Not too far from this I also noticed a bright orange bird.
A Baltimore Oreole. This bird received its name from the fact that the male's colors resembled those on the coat of arms of Lord Baltimore.
There was a new wildflower blooming along the forest paths too. In some ways a rather shy flower.
She is a Uvularia grandiflora (Large-flowered Bellwort). There were several clumps to be found.
Hope you enjoyed!
