Holes

There are plenty of nooks and crannies for the small mammals to hide.  Sometimes, I find larger holes.
Today I found a couple new ones:

This is a hole too, only it is man made and seems out of place.

Not sure what it is doing in the middle of a wooded area at the park.  It makes me wonder.  What do you think?
