Leaf Cover

What a joy that the day turned out unexpectedly sunny!  A small handful of cheerful walkers were out, but more than I've seen in the last several days.

I've noticed that it doesn't seem to matter how many snowfalls we have, there are always leaves that end up on top of the snow.  Normally the wind ends up blowing these into the recesses of footprints.

A few are caught on top of the snow.

And some have been there long enough to get semi-buried by light snow.

I have to wonder how many layers of leaves are buried in the snowstorms we have had thus far.
