Changes in Landscape

It snowed all morning.  It looked like the sun would come out for a little in the afternoon, so I headed to the park.  Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.  However, there were some big changes to the landscape east... just past the eastern border of the park.  Big enough to share anyway.  

Fresh snow covers and makes the contrast of the changes less visible.  Much of the open area was plowed over and large banks of snow and debris were added.

It was not there yesterday.  As I understand it, after talking with a neighbor, this must have happened yesterday afternoon.  Technically, this is not part of the park.  I believe the land belongs to the government or utilities of some kind.  In the coming days, I will check on the lone duck that used to frequent the open water near this.  

Changes are sometimes hard, but life seems to be constant with changes in landscape.  Life is resilient and strong.  I will miss the old landscape but I have come to know that life will continue and grow in the new landscapes as well.
