Happenings at the 'Hole'

The melt is on and now there are open sections of water at the creek near the marsh.  Caught this guy enjoying the warmth.  Probably a muskrat.

There were some happenings at another hole too.  A downy woodpecker discovered the red-bellied woodpeckers hole.

He was checking it out, even trying it on for size. 

But when the owner returned ... 

He lingered a second or two then flew away.
