Room for Muskrats to Play

The creek is mostly melted now with only a few patches where ice covers.  The open space was enough to coax muskrats out to 'play.'  This one looks like he has a purpose, towing a bit of brush in his mouth.  

Others looked like they were just having fun, playfully chasing one another.

One of the Red-Winged Blackbirds found his way to the open creek.  He was observing them ... until something more interesting came along ... me!
