Incident at the Lake Outlet

This was a stressful afternoon for ...

A female Mallard duck at the lake outlet.   Her babies got too close to the falls.  And plopped over.

She couldn't figure out how to get them back up again.

There was a lot of quacking with the mother up in the lake, then down with her ducklings.  Finally, she got some help from New Hope's Animal Control.

The babies were scooped up and returned to the lake.  (Not without some frustration trying to gather them!)

The young family was tired, but not too much the worse for the wear.
