A new beetle is in abundance in the corner lot along Boone Avenue. Near the ponds, the cup plants are in full bloom and many are loaded with this beetle.
This is a Goldenrod Soldier Beetle. Sometimes also known as a Pennsylvania Leatherwing Beetle.
In the same general area, large patches of Spotted Joe-pye Weed are nearly ready to blossom. This is an early one.
This photo is from yesterday. Some Prickly Lettuce are growing in the rocks of the creek path.
Sunny day today - Enjoy!
