Fungi Assortment

Along the marsh road today something was erupting from the dirt road.

Fungi!

It seemed unusual to see these pushing their way up in an area of gravelly dry ground.  The chocolate colored gills look nice.  Not sure what it is ... perhaps this? (Click on link to see comparison.) Maybe not.

There were a variety of fungi visible from the marsh road.  This one almost looks like brains!  Maybe this one?  (Click on link to see comparison.)

I have far from mastered mushroom identification and any identification help will be GLADLY accepted.  ;-)
