Many of the grasshoppers at the park are now full grown. Grasshoppers are very different than us. They don't have eyes like we do. They have two compound eyes. That means they have many facets. To us, it would be like looking through a bundle of straws. Aside from these two eyes, adults have three other tiny eyes called simple eyes. These mostly just discern light and dark. That makes ... FIVE eyes!
Did you guess right?
Enjoy!
