More Spring Arrivals

 Jack-in-the-pulpits are starting to come up.  Large-flowered Bellwort are coming up too.  The flower will droop downward once the flower opens.  



Found a couple of Six Spotted Tiger Beetles playing along the marsh road.






But also an invader is starting to blossom.  Pretty as the Garlic Mustard is, it spreads easy and can take over areas quickly.  I've read they are edible!

Pouncing Sidewalk Tigers

This little green guy is a Green Tiger Beetle.  They are known to be among the fastest runners in the insect world.  They like to eat ants and other small bugs.  It's a jungle down there!
