This pretty yellow native wildflower almost always has the sky as her background. She is a Helianthus Giganteus, also known as a Giant Sunflower. These grow from 4 to 10 feet tall, though I wonder if these may be taller.

Giganteus!

Sunflower and Skipper Stumpers
These photos are from Monday morning. I believe the above might be a Sawtooth Sunflower, but I'm not too confident in my id? Likewise, the skipper shown at the side might be a Arogos Skipper, but again, not that much confidence in my id's. This sunflower and this skipper have me stumped. Anyone else have better luck?Enjoy!
