Something Small Emerging on the Forest Floor

Headed to the park later than normal today.  The birds seem to be thinning some. After yesterday focusing high, today the focus will be low.  These blades are small but much thicker than grass. Spring flowers?

A bit of orange with legs also caught my attention.

Regardless of what these little things are, they are signs of the season progressing.  Spring is unfolding - albeit slowly.
