Bursting and Banded

No more ice on the lake!  Yeah!  Other changes were also evident today.  Do you remember this bud?

Look at these buds now!


They BURST open!

I got a close up of the gulls and found that these gulls are actually Ring-billed Gull.  Notice the beak?

This bird was not the only siting with a 'band' ...

The park had a 'banded' Canadian goose today as well.  If you see a banded bird, it is good to take note of the details and report it at www.reportband.gov.
