Grand Abodes for the Small

I enjoyed following and photoing a number of mouse trails.  They sometimes go in circles, as though in some elaborate dance.  The dance is not the only elaboration they enjoy.  Some of the lovely frost pockets have made grand entrances for their homes.

See the mouse trails between the pockets?  Perhaps these are not mice, but some kind of small rodent.  Whatever it is, it enjoys the decor of an elegant frost in their foyer.

This cocoon looks rather like a papoose ... don't you think?
