Bright, Blown and Frosted

The sun shone unhindered today and cast crisp shadows.  The air is colder and although it is not windy today, evidence of a windy yesterday was abundant.  Past tracks are blown over and faded.  Snow drifts hardened to the consistency of cardboard.

Today the lake outlet bragged sparkled frost thistles on the water surface.

Further down the creek, near the open water, the iced surface was arrayed similar in beauty.

The red and white reflection is of a communication tower in the distance.
