The Bold, Subtle, Unusual Wings

There are many busy pollinators at the park, and one of the loveliest to watch are the moths and butterflies.
Some are large and beautiful and commonly seen:
Like this Monarch Butterfly, resting on a milkweed flower.
Other are smaller and easily missed like this small white one pollinating the small flowers of a sweet clover.
And some are strange and unusual, like this one : Hummingbird Clearwing Moth.  It is named for how it looks and acts.

  1. Ooh! Especially beautiful macro images! Love the Hummingbird Clearwing Moth! I've caught a glimpse of these unusual creatures twice. Though, I was not quite quick enough to capture a great photo such as yours.
