Swamp Milkweed

I've been watching a handful of these patches for about a week now, anticipating the bud burst.
They are swollen and darker purple, but this one hasn't opened yet.  They are a milkweed, but not like the ones I'm used to.  These are swamp milkweed.
At the lake outlet, near the basketball courts I found one open.
A close-up look at the open flower looks familiar like milkweed.  Especially the shape.

    If you look closely, you can see a spider hiding out in the close-up. The little yellow in the upper left-hand side are a couple of his legs and body.
