A number of Cabbage White butterflies have been enjoying the Catnip along the marsh road. And I watched an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail spiral up a Prairie Blazing Star along the creek. I think it didn't want to miss one!

Flocks of smaller birds filled the park with chirping today. No doubt they will soon migrate. In years past, it seemed this flower was less picked over. But now it appears that Prairie Blazing Star is in the running for bird favorite this year.
Several skippers were out to play along the creek path. They were partial to the blazing prairies wildflowers.
