Male or Female?

Near the first bridge I found and confirmed a male and female couple in residence:  Pussy willows.  I saw the two bushes.  I saw the differences in the pussy willow flowers.  I just didn't realize they were a male plant and female plant until this year.  Plants that are male or female (not both) are called dioecious.  The above photo is of the male.  The side photo is female.

One of the fuzzy trees near the marsh has started to burst into flower.

Yellow, Orange, and Pink

Among the fall flowers planted at the corner of the park several pollinators are busy.  Notably, the bright yellow of an "Orange Sulphur."   Not exactly the "orange" I think of on a fall day, yet pretty things to watch.

Indigo and Milkweed

White Wild Indigo blossoms are opening along the creek bed.  Between the first and second bridge, the first of some Common Milkweed also is also opening.
