The Melt

Much of last weeks snowfall melted away overnight.  This morning started with a thick cover of white fog.  These were taken as the fog was subsiding.

Enjoy!

Back Again

The weather forecast is for 1 to 2 inches at the park.  Hard to believe it is back again.  Tomorrow will be warmer.

Bundle up and stay safe.

Fall Falling

Snow on Tuesday remained for a few days.  The weight of the snow on the leaves, the cold temperatures and the brisk winds since have blown most trees bare.  Fall has fallen.  I know what I will be doing this week-end!

Enjoy!

Damaging Storms

The marsh road is blocked and the surrounding forest area seems more bright.  Strong winds and torrential rain has taken a toll on the park.  These photos were taken earlier today.  Another storm hit hard tonight.

Be safe!

Emerging From the Mist

This morning was very foggy.  As I was walking on the creek path near the soccer fields, something new could be seen emerging from the mist.  The city has planted several new trees along the creek path.

Fall Landscape

The foggy and wet didn't last long and Sunday afternoon brought weather perfect for raking leaves.  The precipitation was not enough to replenish the low water levels at local ponds and lakes.  Rain will come.  Eventually.  But for now...

Blustery

The last few days have been blustery indeed with overcast skies and high winds.  And this morning a lake resident told of SNOW.  I noticed several American Robins gathering in trees near the lake this morning.  Many were enjoying a breakfast of tree seeds.

Bundle up and enjoy!
