February Whitening

White Flower, Red Baneberry

In the shadows of the forest, white flowers look brilliant when the occasional shafts of light hit them.  Curiously enough, this white beauty is Red Baneberry.

Slushy Day

Afternoon sun did much to melt and soften things.  Walking through 'snow' cover now is more like walking through slush.

Flock of Spring

There are a number of bird tracks near the second bridge.  American Robins have gathered there.  One might call it a "flock of spring."

Blushing Pussy Willows

It seems no one told the pussy willows that spring has been held up by snow.   They are starting to blush.

Wounded Tree

A tree on the corner lot has received Red-Green style care.  The doctor's trademark bandage didn't get applied to sap flowing from scattered spots in another near by tree.

First Wildflower Find of 2012
