Study of Sumac Buds

One of the perks of taking photos is that sometimes you can see more in the photo than initially with your naked eye.

Sumac buds first appear as fuzzy nubs. But as they open, from the fuzz something beautiful emerges.

Fall colors each leaf differently.  Right now, the sumac is seems to to be peak for colors and textures.

Bright, Brisk, Beautiful!

This morning was bright, brisk and beautiful.  There was some light frost that turned quickly to dew.  Most sumac is full blown red, but some along the creek path are still 'blending' into red.  The slightest breeze is sending leaves dropping.  Enjoy it now before they fall.  Also, most of the milkweed are also full blown fluff with much clinging to anything it floats into.

Dewy September Morn

After off and on storms this long week-end, the clouds have finally departed.  Dew replaced rain on the plants at the park.  It is going to be a beautiful day.
