Rev 22:1 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the 5throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. ~~~ Live in the USA? Get a free Bible and free Christian books

Early morning covered everything with dew - from late summer  flowers to leaves on trees, even the bees!

Enjoy!

Purple Prairie Clover

Culver's Root

Eastern Purple Coneflower

Bees, beetles, dragonflies and butterflies have been enjoying the new wildflowers.

I couldn't include them all today, expect more tomorrow.

Enjoy!

Sunday Seconds

Many Philadelphia Fleabane are flowering along the marsh road.  Some Giant Chickweed can also be found.  And near the lake, I spied a patient mother working on a spring clutch.

Enjoy!

Thursday Happenings

The ice now covers just over half of the lake.  A flock of gulls have found the lake a good place to find and eat fish.

Elsewhere, some of the pussy willows are beginning to flower.  Thus my first bee sighting of the year.

Enjoy!

Blonde Bee?

This fuzzy fellow may look like a bee, but it isn't really.  It is a bee fly (bombyliidae).
Probably some type of Systoechus.

Enjoy!

Cup Plant Full of Life

Not to be confused with the Prairie Dock, or the compass, a number of Cup Plants are now in bloom along Boone Avenue. All three flowers look similar and all three are tall.  The Cup Plants are easy to identify by their leaves.  They form a 'cup' on the stem.

I couldn't help notice so many forms of life to be found on this amazing plant.  Bees, Japanese Beetles, Golden Finch,

Assassin bug nymphs.
Soldier beetles and a Jumping spiders.
Enjoy!

Burdock and the Bee

Burdock is blooming along the marsh road.  This has not gone unnoticed by the bee.

Enjoy!
