Diggin the New Digs

Earlier this year, the city has been busy digging this area deeper.  The area was teaming with ducks and some geese this morning.  I'm guessing they like the improvement a lot!

Winter Blow-back

Nearly all of the snow has melted.  It is nice to be able to walk the lake path again.  The The Red-winged blackbirds can be heard trilling their happiness.   How nice to gorgeous weather after the harsh winter. 




The lake ice is weakening, but still covers most of the lake.  The midweek warm-up might be the breaking blow.

Fresh Batch of Peepers!

A new batch of Canadian Geese hatched and were enjoying a swim today.  It certainly was hot enough for it!

Morning Flight Practice

It seems in spring and summer Canadian geese are busy with young and more in the ground than in the air.  Now that summer is past and the young ones are grown, they are more in the air.
