Frosty Dew

The ground was covered with frost this morning.  But as soon as the sun's rays were felt, the frost began to melt and looked like dew.  I also discovered a new colony of Ostrich Fern growing along the marsh road pond.   The frost outlined the fronds and the color contrast were beautiful.  Also interesting were dew drops that froze and more slowly melted.

Frosty Morning

Beautiful and brisk this morning.  Frost stayed until suns rays touched.  New England Aster are troopers, one of the last wildflowers to retain a bit of color.

Bright Morning

The small accumulation of snow is receding some with the bright sunshine this morning.  The weather man warns of a snow storm impending that should hit about midnight tonight.  We anticipate much more snow by the end of tomorrow.
