Wet Week

It has been rain with scattered thunderstorms all week.  The lake has a healthy flow now.  And sometimes rain can add a pretty touch to things in nature.

Dozens Hidden Below

The lake outlet is down to a trickle.  And below the sky rippled reflection, something is moving.  Dozens and dozens of crayfish can be seen crawling around the rocks below.

Spring Meltdown

With sunshine and temperatures in the 50's (F), much of the snow has given way.  Wear your boots down the marsh road.  There are still several inches of slushy snow cover there - though probably not for long.

Greener On the Other Side

When approaching the lake outlet this morning, I heard a plop-splash.  A muskrat must have thought it was greener on the other side of the lake outlet.  He was enjoying a nice water-plant breakfast.
